Emily Clark, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Bend Office
Emily is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling from Oregon State University. She has extensive experience supporting children, teens, and adults in navigating traumatic experiences, grief, and family transitions. Emily believes that every person has the potential to make meaningful, positive changes in their life, and she emphasizes the importance of considering all factors and contributing aspects of an individual’s unique circumstances.
Her counseling approach is trauma-informed, focusing on building on existing personal strengths while teaching new coping skills. Emily works collaboratively with her clients, creating a therapeutic partnership where both the individual and therapist are actively engaged in the healing process. She integrates a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), play therapy, and movement-based methods, when applicable. Emily also draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients manage thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
When working with families, Emily employs an attachment-based family therapy approach, which emphasizes the importance of secure, healthy relationships within the family system. Her overall goal is to help clients develop resilience, improve coping strategies, and achieve greater emotional well-being by addressing the root causes of their challenges and building lasting, positive change.
